Lee's diagnosed and repaired a 28-year-old AC system. The technician was professional and knowledgeable, pricing was reasonable, and they worked with him on price.
Repair-First Thinking
Told You Need a Whole New System? Get a Second Opinion.
Older equipment isn't automatically unrepairable. If a repair is reasonable, we'll tell you. If replacement genuinely makes more financial or safety sense, we'll explain why.
Repair vs. Replace
When Replacement Actually Makes Sense
We diagnose the system ourselves and share measurements, findings and options — not just a conclusion. Replacement may become reasonable when:
- The compressor or another major component is expensive to replace
- Repeated major failures are occurring
- Multiple expensive problems exist at once
- Equipment condition makes continued repair poor value
- An unsafe heat exchanger is confirmed
- Repair cost becomes disproportionate to the remaining value and expected life of the system

Workmanship Policy
We stand behind the work we perform. If an issue is verified to have been caused by our workmanship, we will work to correct our workmanship without charging again for that correction. This does not cover unrelated failures, customer-supplied parts, normal wear, manufacturer failures, environmental conditions or problems outside the work we performed. Travel and return-trip circumstances are evaluated based on the situation and distance.
Parts & Authorization
- We normally source replacement components through professional HVAC supply houses.
- Customer approval is obtained before purchasing expensive or special-order parts.
- Deposits may be required for special-order parts.
- Customer-supplied components may be declined.
- Where an eligible manufacturer warranty exists, we can provide the applicable product paperwork.
Questions
Repair vs. Replacement FAQ
Repair vs. Replacement
Can an older air conditioner still be repaired?
+
Often, yes. Older equipment is not automatically unrepairable. We're willing to evaluate older systems and tell you honestly whether repair is reasonable.
Should I repair or replace my HVAC system?
+
Replacement may become reasonable when the compressor or another major component is expensive to replace, repeated major failures are occurring, multiple expensive problems exist, equipment condition makes continued repair poor value, an unsafe heat exchanger is confirmed, or repair cost becomes disproportionate to the remaining value and expected life of the system.
Can Lee's give me a second opinion?
+
Yes. Second opinions are welcome. If repair is reasonable, we'll tell you. If replacement genuinely makes more financial or safety sense, we'll explain why.
What happens if another company says I need a new system?
